If you have made it here again, welcome back to the new news letter format, we will be able to give you a lot more information bypersonal selection rather than sending everything out each week.

Howevertocarry on receiving it you will need to subscribe via this linkbelow.

There was a bit of confusion over the necessity to subscribe to the news and separately the aircraft availability. You were probably not aware that there are two versions of the news letter, one for flying members the other for non flying members.

You will have a couple more weeks tosubscribe after which the old format will cease.

As usual the sky cleared and Spitfire fireworks did their thing, a most spectacular display culminating in an over head finale that was a stunning spectacle.

A huge thank you to all who made donations it really helped but was way down on previous years. I have never wanted nor needed to charge an entrance fee but this may be the only way to keep the display going.

There was a great atmosphere in the Crown after, with lots of news faces and some disappointed locals who could not get into the bar because of our numbers... hurrah!

The next Pilots in the Pub ( PitP) is our Crimbo bash. Unlike regular PitPs it is held on a Friday and you need to book in advance. I will be posting a separate email with details shortly.

Poppy Appeal

By the next news letter the 2011 Poppy appeal will be over, please support the legion, they really do some marvellous work and have been doing so for 90 years. They need your support more than ever, much of the funding they would normal get is going to Help for heroes, another great charity but they do not look after as many people as the RBL. Please buy and wear your poppy, put one on your car and display something to be proud of.
